India is home to so most impressive architectural wonders and monuments which go beyond the Taj Mahal. In our specially crafted Central India Tour itinerary, we have included the Ajanta and Ellora Caves with other magnificent tourist sites of India. Ajanta Caves are a group of 30 Buddhist Rock Cut caves dating back to the 2nd century BC. They include some of the most magnificent sculptures and ancient cave paintings some of which are prime examples for ancient Indian and Buddhist art.

Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi

  • Arrival: Arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
  • Transfer: Drive to your hotel and check in.
  • Sightseeing: Visit India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Qutub Minar.
  • Evening: Explore Connaught Place for shopping and dining.
  • Overnight: Stay at the hotel in New Delhi.

 

Day 2: New Delhi – Agra (220 km / 4 hours)

  • Morning: After breakfast, drive to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal.
  • Check-in: Check in at the hotel.
  • Sightseeing: Visit the iconic Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah.
  • Evening: Visit the Mehtab Bagh for a sunset view of the Taj Mahal.

Day 3: Agra – Bhopal (via Gwalior)

  • Morning: Drive to Bhopal with a stopover in Gwalior.
  • Sightseeing in Gwalior: Explore Gwalior Fort, Jai Vilas Palace, and Sas Bahu Temple.
  • Evening: Continue your journey to Bhopal.
  • Check-in: Arrive in Bhopal and check in at the hotel.

Day 4: Bhopal Sightseeing

  • Evening: Attend the evening aarti at Mahakaleshwar Temple.

Day 6: Ujjain – Amla (200 km / 4.5 hours)

  • Morning: After breakfast, drive to Amla, a town known for its serene landscapes.
